Have you ever done something so stupid, that it actually stuns YOU? LOL! Well, then you can guess what happened to me yesterday.
After being slammed in the head by the baby and running into all kinds of things with my legs, I decided to use the oven. Yeah, I probably should have guessed what was going to happen by the day I was having. Sometimes when I have the oven on, the hot air will blow out and just about burn my face. I'm sure this happens to most people. So, normally, I'll wait a few seconds for that to pass before I stick any body part too close. Well. Seeing what kind of off day I was having, I went right in, face first. Yup, it was really smart. What happens? My mascara melts on my eyelashes, instantly sticking them together. As a natural reaction, I blink my eyes shut. DUMB! I ended up lightly burning the area underneath my eyes from the hot mascara! *sigh* Crazy I tell ya. LOL!

Wow,this makes my Monday not sound as bad as it was!! Hope you weren't burned too badly. Sad but these kinds of things happen more than we think. Years ago a friend of mine was lighting an old gas oven and burned her face (no eyebrows, skin on her nose burned, etc.). Luckily I had just picked up her baby who was walking towards mom.
Ever since than I open an oven on a angle! I never put my face directly in front, it looks weird when i DO IT BUT, i've seen what can happen...

This sounds like me. I always warn my kids, ages 16 and 17 to wait a few seconds, then the next time I dive right in and they're like "Mooooommmmm?!!
