Saving Moolah

Right now I know that we're all looking for the best deals that we can find. I have found that it's becoming much better to shop online. I normally wouldn't do that and would just go out and scour the sales racks because I can't stand paying for shipping. I just think it's such a waste of money. I mean, don't the stores make enough with their mark up that they can afford the shipping?! Much of that has changed recently though, thank goodness, and most places offer free shipping. It is still very common practice for me to search for discount codes before I buy anything though.

I'm really thankful that there are great directory sites that gather all of this information for us. What a time saver! It makes things SO much easier having them all in one place. There are so many times that I didn't sign up for emails to get promo codes and there are some really good discounts floating around out there. Of course I would buy something and THEN find it. One good place I found categorizes everything so well that they even have a section on tax deals. It's cool because people can share what they find for others too. I think that's the best feature they have.

Downsizing

Like a lot of other people right now, we have highly considered downsizing our home. It isn't something we want to do at all but it may need to happen so we can afford what we need. The mortgage payments are behind and have taken over our life. Things used to be affordable until everyone's jobs went down the drain.

My step-dad makes it routine to check real estate listings and housing prices now. He even checks all over the country in case we have to totally relocate. It's amazing how the cost of living is so high here that it makes other places look really good to move to. Like in New Jersey...did you know that for what we sold my grandma's house for we could get a brand new place with enough bedrooms for all of us on the beach?! That's insane. He's even called a few realtors that deal with residential and commercial properties hoping that they might be able to get a good building to rent. I'm sure there are tons of people who were smart and saved up that are taking advantage of the "deals" that are out there. I know I would be if I had the money...and boy do I wish I had the money.

A New Outlook

I thought it would be rather fitting if I FINALLY changed my blogs to match more of who I am. What do you think? I'm rather pleased with this one since it was my first attempt. Yup, I'm very proud...I made it all on my own. Okay, I had a little help. LOL! SLOWLY but surely, I am going to get to them all.

The diet is going well, although I am starting to get tired of eating almost the same thing everyday. I'm going to have to switch it up some, I think everyone has their limits with salads. I am starting to get sick again though. It's awful. I've been sick at least twice a month which boils down to every other week or so. YUCK! I can't wait for the weather to figure out what it wants to do.

Time Flies

Well, we all now know that I am a huge flake and don't seem to carry out well now do I? LOL

I can't believe how much time has passed since I last posted on here. Well, this time I promise that is all going to change. I'm looking into redesigning this blog and making it a little more fun.

I have been super busy, as usual, working and crafting. I have picked crochet back up again and this time it's super fun. I really needed something to break up my days to do and relax. I'm also SLOWLY designing my own jewelry, finally, too so stay tuned for that.

With the redesign of this blog I'll be holding a contest so make sure you come back for that too. LOL Other than that we'll have our daily dose of odd news, my boring news, and other random topics. See you soon!
