Gettin Married?

Here's a little known fact about me. Although I call him DH, we are not married. We will have been together this year for 15 years and I really am quite happy the way things are. The bad part is that we don't have all the legal stuff that comes with being married since California doesn't recognize common-law. DH has wanted to get married even though I really don't see a purpose in it other than legal stuff.

I used to think about it when I was younger but as I got older, it just kind of went away. I used to pick out rings and all kinds of other stuff and DH would just kind of shrug it off. But ha ha! Now the tables are turned and he's picking out things. I think it's because he's getting older and realizing that there are things he's missing. Of course I don't like the things that he picks and saw this ring. I think it's quite fitting since it's called a confetti diamond wedding band being this is my confetti blog. lol It is a beautiful ring with bezel settings and polished yellow and white gold. The price is extremely good at almost half off too. If we needed it right away it comes with free overnight shipping and a 30 day return policy. Buying something expensive online, and jewelry in general, is always a scary thing but they have lots of positive reviews and are members of the BBB. It's nice to know they aren't some fly by night e-tailer. I'm thinking we might reconsider getting married but I'm glad that we both are happy with the way things are now...it's a lot less pressure.

Goin on a Trip

I am SO dying to get out of here and take a rest. We haven't had a proper vacation in over two years and it's really not fun having to stay in one place when we used to go camping every summer and to Tahoe every winter. Yeah, most of that is due to the baby's birth (and crankiness) but that doesn't make anything better. lol

I've always wanted to go to the east coast and see a ton of stuff there. I've never been to New York or and have always wanted to go. I have been to Boston. My dad liked it because there were some great cheap Boston hotels. There's a site now that is great for people that like to travel. You can get huge discounts (up to 75%) on rooms and even if your trips is really last minute you can still find something. There aren't many places where you can get discounts like that especially for cheap New York hotels to cheap Washington DC hotels. Things are always so expensive there. Maybe if we can save up something we can actually go some day soon. That would be SO much fun!

How Do You Deal With Liars?

There is a person in my house that is a pathological liar and it drives me absolutely NUTS. The worst is that this person is WAY old enough to know better and the stuff they lie about is SO incredibly small that you can't help but wonder what the deal is. I just can't understand why this is necessary!

You always know when they're lying because they are huge on blame and blaming people so as soon as something comes up they sit there and instantly say "it wasn't me" or what ever the case is. It's really bad. It makes me wonder how someone could actually go through life like that, you know? The worst part is that it makes it REALLY hard to be anywhere near this person...which i totally despise. Ugh.
