Side Effects
There's always a lot of controversy when it comes to pills, especially diet pills, because of their side effects. The truth is that if there was more information people probably wouldn't be so worried about them. They always look at the diet pills side effects warnings and say all kinds of negative things but the same can go for helpful prescriptions too. I made the mistake once of reading the side effects and warnings of an anti-biotic once and that was the last time I ever did that. I was so scared to take them I almost didn't. Of course a pill isn't magic and won't cure everything but i think that there should be a little less criticism and more fact finding when it comes to these things.
Musical Mayhem
DD LOVES musicals lately and I'm ready to go crazy. Day and Night she wants to watch Mary Poppins or The Wizard of Oz and it's hard to take now. Both movies are like a year long too! I have to cut her off and try to get her to do something else but it's like pulling teeth stopping the movie mid-way. Right now she's watching Beauty and the Beast so at least that's a change. I've tried getting her to listen to soundtracks instead but I guess it's not the same since she really likes the characters. Sometimes I get scared that she won't have any imagination with her always wanting to watch something instead. At least she likes books, but she won't sit and listen to a story at all. Hopefully things change once she starts going to school.

Dust!
I'm so glad we all don't have allergies here. With the weather warming up, our lack of "good housekeeping" and animals there's always some kind of allergen around. I swear the day after I vacuum there's dust every where again. It seems almost pointless. I kind of wonder if the furnace filters have something to do with the dust. Maybe they need to be changed? I don't even know how many we have. LOL I just imagine that nothing's ever been done and the dust just keeps recirculating. I bet that's what it is! UGH
Where'd Ya Go Alex?
I have to chuckle when I see those term life insurance commercials. Alex Trebec has been promoting one company for a while now and they had to "spiffy it up" and now they only use a bit of him and mention that he's been a spokesperson. Heck, I think he still looks great and he's still getting paid for them so...It's just interesting to me how the different markets end up altering their advertising. I guess most people don't notice but since I've been in sales I notice all those little things.

Do You REALLY Need That?
DS has wanted a Bluetooth headset since the Jawbone came out and never got one because I just can't see why a kid would NEED one for anything besides looking cool. Added to that I'm not sure he could have one without losing it. I'm starting to think that maybe he may need one soon because he does this weird thing with the phone he has and eventually I think he's going to snap it. He has a clamshell type and when he's using it he always bends it so it's closer to his mouth. It's really weird and I think he does it to appear "cool" but it's stupid and drives me nuts on top of wearing out the hinge and stuff. Man are teenagers are annoying!

Cost Cutting
The car that we just received is costing us so much money it's ridiculous. The insurance went up too because it's an older car so now we have to go looking for another policy. It's annoying but good at the same time because my father-in-law is looking for a life insurance lead so at least we can "kill two birds with one stone" with sites that offer quotes for multiple things. The bad part is that I have to do it all because no one knows how or what to do. Oh well, at least I can keep an eye on things.
On the Wishlist
I've always wanted one of those ellipticals and it is definitely on my list now. The crummy treadmill that I have went belly up and that's fine because it was well, crummy anyway. LOL I think there's a better workout with an elliptical because there's a lot more movement and I think it would be easier on my joints. Where I'd put one I don't know because the garage won't ever get emptied thanks to pack rats. Why a person needs to hold onto tires for a car they don't have and some woodworking tool table thing that wasn't even theirs is totally beyond me. Just because you paid something for some of it doesn't mean it's worth a lot now.
No Shrink Needed
Sometimes I have to laugh because I tend to blog about nothing. I end up talking about totally random things and I'm sure at some point they may not even make sense. Every now and then I read other blogs and realize how off I am but that's okay. I really like having an outlet to just be me and say "nothing", it's fantastic therapy. It doesn't even really matter to me whether anyone reads anything or not because eventually I know there will be something that will help some one.
What's the Bunny Bringing?
I have NO idea what to put in ds's basket anymore. It's even questionable if he should get one anymore, he's old! LOL I guess I messed it up for myself because it'll be weird to his sister if she gets one and he doesn't. Really though, what do you give a 14 year old that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?! I'm tired of getting a bunch of little things that clutter up the house because he won't get rid of them for some weird reason. I obviously passed on the clutter bug to him but it's totally gonna stop with dd for sure.
